The Quality Control Head is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance and quality control processes in construction projects. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining a quality management system to ensure that construction activities comply with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.

Job Description:

        1. Develop, implement, and maintain the QMS to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client specifications.
        2. Establish quality objectives, policies, and procedures.
        3. Supervise and coordinate inspection and testing activities to ensure materials, structures, and construction activities meet quality standards.
        4. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor compliance with quality
        5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspection results, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions.
        6. Prepare quality reports and presentations for management and clients.
        7. Identify, document, and manage non- conformances.
        8. Develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans to address quality issues.
        9. Train and mentor staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
        10. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness within the organization.
        11. Evaluate and approve suppliers and subcontractors based on their quality performance.
        12. Monitor and assess the quality of work performed by subcontractors.
        13. Ensure that construction activities comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
        14. Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices..
        15. Communicate effectively with clients regarding quality issues, concerns, and progress.
        16. Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality construction projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar are advantageous.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in quality control/assurance in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
