Form work Design Engineer is responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the installation of formwork systems for concrete structures. He ensure that the formwork used in high-rise construction is safe, efficient, and cost-effective, while adhering to structural and regulatory requirements.

Job Description:

  • Prepare preliminary Formwork Schemes and selection of formwork systems as per construction sequence after receiving the inputs from site.
  • Estimate Formwork material quantities for schemes for material mapping & procurement planning.
  • Co-ordinate with the Formwork Planning team/site about the formwork materials availability.
  • Co-ordinate with inter departments for finalization of Special Formwork designs.
  • Prepare final FW schemes after confirmation from site for release of Fabrication drawings.
  • Prepare Design documents, method statements, Work procedures as per project requirement.
  • Prepare Approval drawings, Design Calculations & Method statements for onward submission to client.
  • Maintain documentation standards as per ISO system in all the designs and documents.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Experience: 8 years of experience

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of various Formwork and scaffolding systems
  • Hands on experience in designing of formwork and scaffolding as per Indian and international standards
  • Shall be able to carry Structural Analysis and design of various elements of Formwork and scaffolding
  • Shall be able to understand structure drawings and prepare detailing / drawings for Formwork & other temporary works
  • Shall work with a team of CAD Engineers to manage the Engineering activities within budget, on time and maintain quality of Engineering.
  • Shall be able to provide efficient designs to ensure safety and economy.
