The Site Engineer is responsible for executing and overseeing construction work on-site according to the Project Manager’s instructions and project plans. This role involves managing day-to-day activities, coordinating with workers and subcontractors, and ensuring that construction progresses according to schedule, budget, and quality standards

Job Description:

        1. Execution of Work:

             – Implement construction plans as directed by the Project Manager.

             – Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with the project specifications, drawings, and standards.

           

          1. Coordination and Supervision:

             – Supervise site activities, including the work of laborers, tradesmen, and subcontractors.

             – Coordinate the daily allocation of work and resources, ensuring optimal productivity.

           

          1. Quality Assurance:

             – Monitor the quality of work and materials, ensuring compliance with the specified standards.

             – Report any discrepancies or quality issues to the Project Manager and take corrective actions as necessary.

           

          1. Safety and Compliance:

             – Enforce safety regulations and promote a safe working environment on-site.

             – Ensure all site activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

           

          1. Resource Management:

             – Manage the delivery and storage of construction materials and equipment on-site.

             – Track and record material usage, ensuring efficient use and minimizing waste.

           

          1. Reporting and Documentation:

             – Maintain accurate daily records of site activities, including work progress, labor, and materials.

             – Prepare and submit reports on-site progress and any issues encountered.

           

          1. Problem Solving:

             – Address any on-site challenges or issues promptly, in coordination with the Project Manager.

             – Provide practical solutions to ensure project continuity and minimize delays.

           

          1. Communication:

             – Communicate effectively with the Project Manager, team members, and subcontractors.

             – Keep all stakeholders informed of work progress, issues, and any necessary changes.

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

– Proven experience as a Site Engineer or similar role in construction.

– Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and quality standards.

– Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and plans.

– Strong organizational and time-management skills.

– Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

– Good communication and interpersonal skills.

– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

– Ability to travel to different project sites as needed.
